Monday is Presidents' Day, so the Hastings City Council will hold its second February meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22.

It's a light agenda the council will be working on. Unless any items are added at the beginning of the meeting, the only business is a proclamation recognizing Inver Hills Community College, approving the minutes from the last meeting and a handful of routine housekeeping items on the consent agenda.

IHCC, located in Inver Grove Heights, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and is linked to Hastings by the number of Hastings students who attend there. More than 330 students lived in Hastings in the fall 2010 semester. Hastings High School students were the fourth-largest group of post-secondary enrollment options students attending the college last year.
