City Council: Nominating the old Hudson building
At the next Hastings City Council meeting, council members will discuss whether or not to nominate the old Hudson Manufacturing building to the National Register of Historic Places. The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6.
The question of nomination has been a topic of discussion for a few months. First, the Heritage Preservation Commission suggested moving forward in the process to the building's owner, the Hastings Economic Development and Redevelopment Authority. HEDRA responded with a recommendation against, and the HPC responded again, expressing a desire to move forward.
The final decision will be put before the city council Monday.
Also on the agenda is an amendment to the HPC design guidelines.
