City Council: Awards, amendments and a 48-hour parking limit
The Hastings City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, it's first meeting of the new year.
One item on the agenda was carried over from the Dec. 20 meeting, when the council recognized city employees for their years of service. Due to poor weather conditions that prevented some employees from attending, the presentation will be repeated for those who were unable to attend Dec. 20.
The council will hold two public hearings, one for an ordinance amendment for home occupations and one for an amendment to the Original Hastings Design Standards. The two amendments will also be reviewed by the council for their second reading.
There is also a resolution before the council to establish 48-hour parking limits in municipal parking lots at City Hall and in the downtown area.
