Christmas in the Village rescheduled for Saturday, Dec. 18
Christmas in the Village at Dakota City Heritage Village in Farmington, was canceled on Dec. 11 and 12 due to bad weather, it has been rescheduled to Saturday, Dec. 18, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Adults and children alike will be able to experience a 1900s-era Christmas holiday with lighted trees and decorated buildings.
Visitors can make a variety of crafts to take home, write and mail a letter to Santa, view holiday cooking and baking, check out the Blacksmith Shop, the Print Shop, the Barbershop and more. Horsedrawn trolleys will carry visitors around the village and the musical groups will perform in the church. The Drug Store will serve hot and cold food and beverages.
The admission fee will be $2 per child for four-through 12-year-olds and $3 per person for 13 and up. Children ages three and under will be admitted free and the maximum charge for a carload will be $10. Dakota City Heritage Village is located at the fairgrounds in Farmington.
