Charles William Bergevin Jr.
Charles William Bergevin Jr., Kimberling City, Mo., son of Charles and Grace (Hansen) Bergevin, was born June 21, 1941, in Red Wing, Minn., and departed this life Nov. 5, 2009, in his home, at the age of 68.
Charlie was united in marriage to Renee Weiner on May 17, 2006, and he had lived in the Kimberling City area the past six years coming from Minnesota. Before retiring, he worked at St. Thomas University as a union electrician supervisor. Charlie was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He was a U. S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Renee of the home; two sons, Charles W. Bergevin and wife, Nancy, and Guy Bergevin and wife, Denise, all of Minnesota; one daughter, Belinda Hansen and husband, Steve, of Minnesota; one sister, Judy Maconelli of Minnesota; 11 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the Lakewood Church in Reeds Spring with Rev. Cecil Todd officiating, with a reception following the service. Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home-South, Kimberling City.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minn., with a reception following at the VFW in Hastings.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Skaggs Hospice.
