The Hastings Heat 14-1's are competing in Reno, Nev., this weekend at the national championship. Team members in the front row are Jordan Engel and Shelby Wassink. For the first time in as long as their coach can remember, ten eighth-grade Hastings girls are going to Reno, Nev., to compete in the 2010 USA Volleyball Girls' Junior National Championships.

"This is the first Hastings Heat team to ever go to nationals," head coach Rita Girgen said. "We are very excited to go and compete."
