Bridge jumper swims to shore
An adult male, who jumped from the Highway 61 bridge made it safely to shore.
Hastings Police received a call at 10:15 p.m. Monday, April 19, that witnesses has seen someone jump from the bridge into the Mississippi River. Apparently, he had been a passenger in a vehicle and got out of it.
When police arrived, they saw man swimming in the water. They threw a rescue disk to him and pulled him out of the river. He was transported to Regina Medical Center for evaluation.
