Body of Hastings, Minn., woman seen going over waterfall still not found

The search continues for a Hastings woman seen going over the Vermillion River waterfall Thursday, July 21. Teams from the Dakota County Sheriff's department searched Thursday night, Friday and over the weekend, but still have not been able to find the body.

The adult woman apparently entered the water above the falls and was seen getting sucked under the water. She was then seen by another group of witnesses below the falls. She has not been seen since.

Authorities don't know why she entered the water and are waiting to name her until they find her body.

The sheriff's department is also getting help on the search from the Hastings fire and police departments.
