Black Dirt Theater seeks board members
This has been an exciting year for Black Dirt Theater, a company that has been creating and performing in Hastings since 2008. Last summer, Black Dirt united over 100 actors and volunteers to show that with teamwork, practice, and dedication, we can create a high quality production for the town of Hastings. The year continued with several productions, such as an original play based on local stories of gratitude called "Tis a Gift," sold-out, monthly performances of Improve Comedy Showdown, and winter workshop classes for young people and adults.
The successes have made it necessary for the company to take the next steps as an organization -- people to become members of the Board for Black Dirt Theater.
"Together we can touch the hearts of the people of Hastings through theater, company co-founder Andy Langenfeld. "We are looking for hard-working, dedicated people who have a passion for the arts. Our board needs people who know their way around business, accounting, fundraising, law, or the arts. Your input is essential to Black Dirt Theater's goals of engaging, empowering, inspiring, and connecting the people of Hastings. The board will meet once a month to make executive decisions regarding the future of Black Dirt Theater.
If you are interested in being a board member, you can fill out a simple application at blackdirttheater.com, or contact Andy Langenfeld at black firstname.lastname@example.org.
