Basketball: Raiders kick off season with win

The Hastings boys basketball team got its season off to a great start Tuesday night with a 77-63 non-conference win over Prescott.

The Raiders had great balance in scoring, with four players scoring in double figures.

Junior Quintan Weaver led the way for the Raiders with 23 points.

Tony Hammes had 15, Darius Wilkerson had 13 and Ellis Williams scored 10.

Also scoring were Aaron Stevens (six), Ben Knoll (five), Mitch Hoffman (three) and Jon Sindt (two).

Up next

Hastings plays at Farmington Thursday night.

The Raiders play host to Delano in a 4 p.m. game Saturday and then are at home for a 7:15 p.m. game Dec. 17 against Cretin-Derham Hall.

Hastings is also at home Dec. 21 for a 7:15 p.m. game against Red Wing.
