All four skiers from Hastings finished in the top 45 at Alpine ski meet

The four Hastings High School Alpine skiers who qualified for the state meet all placed in the top 45.

On the boys side, Stephen O'Connor led the way with a 25th-place finish. Adam Peine was 27th.

Gabriella Sorg took 31st in the girls race, and Rosie Pechous was 45th.

Peine is the only senior in the group.

O'Connor had a combined time of 1:20.84. He had a time of 40.99 on his first run and 39.85 on his second run.

Peine had a combined time of 1:20.91. On his first run he had a time of 41.31, and on his second he had a time of 39.6.

The meet was won by Michael Murray of Bloomington Jefferson, who had a time of 1:13.67.

The boys team meet was won by The Blake School. Stillwater was second and East Ridge was seventh.


Sorg had a time of 40.34 on her first run and 46.01 on her second for a combined time of 1:26.35.

Pechous had times of 40.49 and 48.6 for a combined time of 1:29.09.

Elizabeth Koprucki of East Ridge won the meet with a combined time of 1:15.52.

Minnetonka won the team meet. Mounds View was fifth and Stillwater was sixth.
