Accident report for the week ending Sept. 9

Wednesday, Sept. 5
Two vehicles struck each other while backing out of their parking spots in the Cub Foods parking lot. The crash was reported at 5:10 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 6
A vehicle struck a deer at 7:54 p.m. on Highway 316, about one mile east of Michael Avenue.
Saturday, Sept. 8
Police responded to a crash between a vehicle and a deer in the area of 160th St. E. and General Sieben at 11:23 a.m.
Two vehicles collided at the intersection of 10th and Tyler streets at 8:20 p.m. One vehicle had stopped, and the other rearended it, the driver having reached down to pick up a dropped cell phone. Bradley Cowden, 30, Hastings, was cited for inattentive and careless driving. No one was injured.
Sunday, Sept. 9
A two-vehicle crash was reported at 11:05 a.m. at the intersection of 19th and Vermillion streets. No further information was available.
A driver pulling into a parking spot in the Walgreens parking lot struck a parked vehicle in front of her. The driver had been looking in her purse and thought her vehicle was in park when it started rolling forward and hit the other vehicle.
