Aaron D. O'Dell
Aaron D. O'Dell, 40, husband of Merry (Keetley) O'Dell, formerly of Hastings, passed away suddenly in Orcutt, Calif., on Dec. 28, 2009.
Aaron was born on Oct. 18, 1969, in Albuquerque, N.M., to Eve Stith (previously O'Dell) and Delbert D. O'Dell.
Aaron was a 1988 graduate of Sandia High School in Albuquerque. He went on to become a journeyman electrician in Santa Maria, Calif. He was the superintendent at Imperial Electric Co. in Goleta, Calif. Aaron was a member of the IBEW Local #413 and the Elks Lodge #1538.
Aaron's biggest dream was to be a husband and father. He met his wife, Merry, and they wed in 1999. He put on a tough guy exterior, but inside he was the warmest, kindest, most caring, loving man you could ever have in your life. Aaron enjoyed staying home with his family and close friends. He was an avid New Orleans Saints fan, enjoyed cooking on the BBQ, volunteered at the Elks, and loved just sitting around the table, staying up late, playing cards with friends.
Aaron is survived by his wife, Merry, son, Conner, and daughter, Megan, of Orcutt, Calif.; father, Delbert D. O'Dell, mother, Eve (Michael) Stith, two sisters, one brother, grandmother, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, all of Albuquerque. Aaron is also survived by his Keetley family of marriage, who have always loved him as their own.
Funeral services were held in Santa Maria, Calif. Interment followed in Albuquerque.
