Sights from the 39th annual Rivertown Days
The weather was beautiful (if a little hot) and large crowds turned out for the 39th-annual Rivertown Days this past weekend, July 21-23.
The Mississippi River was lined with spectators for the Twin Cities Power Boat Races put on by the Twin City Power Boat Association, which included local racers Scott, Joel and Mackenzie Stricker. Families strolled through Jaycee Park during the carnival while kids of all ages took turns trying out the Conquer Ninja Warrior Course.
The Rivertown Days Tennis Tournament, put on by the Hastings Tennis Association (HTA) crowned champions in 23 different brackets over the course of three days. Several concerts were put on throughout the city and a fireworks display was featured Saturday night over the river.
Sunday saw the Rivertown Days Grand Parade and the event was concluded with the eighth year of the Hastings Sings Vocal Competition.
