Hastings Ford plans fundraiser for Hastings band
Hastings Ford will be hosting the sixth annual fall Drive 4UR Community event on Monday, Sept. 23, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. For every person who takes a spin in a new Ford during the Drive 4UR Community event, Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to the Hastings Band Boosters.
"It's an honor to be hosting our annual fall Drive 4UR Community event for the Hastings Band Boosters" said Doug Erickson, owner of Hastings Ford. "By sponsoring events like Drive 4UR Community, Ford continues to bless the students of our great community. This is our sixth annual fall Drive 4UR Community event and 11th overall event. To date between Ford Motor Company and Hastings Ford over $50,000 has been donated to local community non-profits such as the band boosters, choir, Young Life, Total Life Care Center and the Education Foundation."
Hastings Band Boosters event chair Mike Ventry said: "What an awesome opportunity we have with Ford Motor Company and Hastings Ford to raise funds locally for the Hastings Band Boosters. This is the second Drive Event for the band boosters, 11th overall, and each one has been more and more successful. We are looking forward to a spectacular turn out again this time.
"Drive 4UR Community allows individual students to earn the donation towards their band expenses for every qualified driver that takes a test drive on their behalf. Family and friends wanting to support a student in band should obtain a Drive 4UR Community Business Card from that student."
