New manager named for Spiral Co-op
Spiral Foods Co-op, 307 E. Second St., downtown Hastings, has announced the selection of Baard Webster as its new general manager. He brings a wealth of experiences sin management and small business operation, including more than 30 years of retail experience.
In 1995, he and his wife, Diane, started Funkie Gardens a very successful specialty nursery in Prescott, Wis. They sold the nursery, which was rated by subscribers of Northern Garden magazine, as one of the top ten nurseries in the Twin Cities region, in 20089.
Webster has served Spiral Natural Foods as member of the board of directors and as marketing manager, and was instrumental in significant upgrades to the store and product lines.
"I'm very excited to be here," said Webster," said Webster. "Our mission is to be the choice for organic, sustainable and local food and health/wellness products in the Hastings area.
"I hope to talk to as many Spiral customers as I can about achieving this goal, and making Spiral Natural Foods a place which helps to nourish and sustain families in Hastings and the surrounding communities," he said.
He has personal commitment to eating local, healthy, organic food, and is "passionate" about helping people connect with the products and resources they need to achieve and sustain a healthy lifestyle.
Spiral Natural Foods has offered a healthy, wholesome selection of food for more than 30 years. The co-op offers an advantageous membership program, but is open to the entire community for shopping.
